Cigar News: Small Massachusetts Town Fumes Over Proposed Tobacco Sales Ban

Fuming over a proposed ban on the sale of all tobacco products within town limits. A town meeting was held Wednesday evening in the small town of Westminister Massachusetts   to discuss the proposal. The meeting ended after barely 20 minutes when attendees refused to stop clapping and shouting. The chairwoman and a local man had this to say.

Board of Health Chairwoman Andrea Crete told The Boston Globe ” It was going to get out of control”

Jonatho Aho manager of Vincent county’s store told Newsweek that only 4 of the 70 people got to speak before the meeting was called off!

0n October 27 the towns Board of Health proposed a draft of the ban that says it would prohibit the sale of any tobacco or nicotine product whether it is intended to be “smoked, chewed, absorbed, dissolved, inhaled, snorted, sniffed, or ingested by any other means.” That includes, but is not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, little cigars, chewing tobacco, blunt wraps, pipe tobacco, snuff, or electronic versions of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookah, and any other products that vaporize tobacco, according to the proposal. According to the American Lung Association the ban would be a first of its kind in modern times.

I personally applauded these patriots for standing up for what they believe and protecting our freedoms. We are at war as Cigar smokers trying to keep our rights ,while bills are trying to be passed to ban what we love. What would you do if they tried to ban tobacco in your home town?  We will be sure to bring you all breaking news as we get it.
