So recently my family and I moved outside of Nashville TN to Mt Juliet TN! First thing i did of course was find the local cigar lounge which was an amazing place called Big Star Cigar Lounge! So being just moved to Tennessee i thought it only right to try the Crowned Heads Tennessee Waltz which is only sold to B&M in Tennessee so you have to order it from a B&M in Tennessee if you want it!
First looking at the cigar it is flawless on construction and has a nice dark wrapper and Tennessee orange ribbon as a band on the foot. I clip and do a cold draw and get very rich flavors. So i toast and draw and LOTS of smoke of the bat and then comes the black pepper and hint of woody earthy flavors.
The second third the black pepper lightens up and some hints of chocolate and coffee come through added with the woody and earthy flavors but its all very well balanced with lots of smoke. The last third the black pepper amps back up but not over powering to bring an amazing end to this cigar! I have to say i am very impressed and will be getting a box of the Tennessee Waltz.
Tennessee Waltz is manufactured by my father cigars S.A in Esteli, Nicaragua and is the first Crown Heads cigar to utilize a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. this cigar is medium to full bodied and is only available in TN.
In every box is a little card from Jon Huber and it reads.
“Tennessee Waltz” is a song near and dear to my heart.
It was the song that was playing in the dance hall when my maternal Grandfather met my Grandmother. I vividly recall him whistling that tune throughout my childhood. Its a song that was made popular in the 1950 by Patti Page, and has been recorded by everyone from Sam Cooke to Otis Redding to Norah Jones
The state of Tennessee is also near and dear to my heart. I met my wife here, my family is here, and of course Crowned Heads is headquartered here in Nashville. Crowned Heads owes a great deal to the people of Tennessee for their support from the very beginning. Also so it is with a sincere spirit of gratitude that we present “Tennessee Waltz”.
If you dont live in Tennessee and would like to try this cigar i would would suggest ordering from a B&M the one i use is Big Star Cigar Lounge here is there contact info or just google a B&M.
